I was trapped…

Locked in and feeling the weight of it.

Moving forward or backward seemed to be my only options, neither of which direction felt right for various reasons.

Have you ever felt this way? If so, you know what I mean when I say…

I could almost hear an opponent taunting.

Make your move. Quickly. You have to do one or the other.

By the way, in both scenarios…

You come out the loser…

And you realize, whatever decision you make, you have a losing battle.

If so, it tells me one little tidbit about you.

You don’t have peace.

Yet.

And though I can’t make your next big decision for you,

That we can fix.

Just remember 3 tips with me this week, if you’re caught between two decisions,

Neither of which feels like a good move.

If you need an acronym, which you know I LOVE by now, it’s T-A-P.

T is for Take Your Time.

One thing I caution you on.

This is not just a simple game of chess.

This is your life.

Don’t rush your move.

Don’t miss out on a God-given opportunity…

Take that time.

Wait until you have peace.

Your next move is A as in active participation.

Because not doing anything at all is still making a choice.

So be active in your wisdom seeking.

Seek out the facts on both sides, write a list of pros and cons, ask questions if you need to, talk it out if you need to…

But don’t just check out.

Finally, P for pray. Taking it to God brings not only the next move out more clearly but with it, the peace that became yours when you chose to follow after Christ…

As I humbled myself and completed these simple steps this past week,

God opened up another option, one that I hadn’t foreseen…

He is so good like that!

So in your hurry,

Remember to pray…

“Speak Lord, for your servant is listening…” (1 Sam 3:9) …

And remember, we’re here for you if you need us!
